I’m Sam, Media Executive, Writer and of course, Mummy. I created this site, because as a nervous new mother, riddled with the guilt of leaving my little boy in day care as I tried to pick up my career where I’d left off, I headed online expecting to find a plethora of advice and reassurance.

Turns out, I didn’t. I found it really hard to get any real advice, specifically relating to my situation. Let me be clear in saying that I do not think any kind of motherhood is easy! Rewarding? Absolutely – wouldn’t change it for the world – but easy, nup. So I am not knocking what any other mum does every day. I was just looking for some specific kind of information and going to mother’s groups that were held at times and on days when I was stuck in the office wasn’t cutting it.

It’s not that there isn’t information out there – there is… if you’re prepared to search for it! But I didn’t have time to search for it. That was the point. I didn’t have family around to ask. I didn’t even have any friends who’d had babies either! Basically I was up CityMum Creek without a paddle and just wishing there was a spot I could head to online where other people might have already sang this song, walked these shoes and mastered the hell out of it.

So began #CityMumAu and I’m so glad you’ve joined us! Kick-ass city mums on an oh-so similar journey, aspiring to be the best versions of ourselves we can possibly be, whilst bringing up fantastic little humans. Women empowering women. No nasties here please – only love.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. I’d love to hear from you. Similarly, if you have a great idea for an article and would like to be featured just get in touch using the contact form.

Good luck out there Super Mums!
